According to preliminary financial figures, the EBITDA of the Klöckner & Co group for the first half of 2006 amounts to approx. 180 million Euro compared to approx. 113 million Euro in the first half of 2005. This represents an increase of approx. 60%, which is particularly due to an increase in turnover, improved margins and the resulting significant increase in gross profits.
Based on the available information, the company expects this positive business situation to continue in spite of seasonal influences in the second half of 2006. With regard to the full year of 2006, the company expects to significantly exceed the results of the preceding year.
