Mr. Koehler (born in 1949) holds the degree of Betriebswirt (MBA) from the FH Mainz (Mainz University of Applied Sciences) and the FH Frankfurt (Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences). He began his professional career at the former Hoechst AG. At Hoechst, he held several management positions, both in Germany and abroad, most recently as head of corporate planning for the Hoechst Group. In 1992, Mr. Koehler became chairman of the management board of SGL Carbon AG (now: SGL Carbon SE). He holds supervisory board positions in the listed companies Lanxess AG, Benteler International AG as well as Demag Cranes AG (until September 23, 2011) and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.
